Evolutionary Stable Strategies in Multistage Games

چکیده
Direct ESS has some disadvantages, which are seen even in the case of repeated games when sequence stage ESSs may not constitute direct game. We present here refinement definition, eliminates these disadvantages and represents base for definition extensive form. The effectiveness this approach multistage n-person is shown metagame (this notion used first time), under relevant conditions, existence proved, constructed using threat strategies.

Counting Stable Strategies in Random Evolutionary Games
In this paper we study the notion of the Evolutionary Stable Strategies (ESS) in evolutionary games and we demonstrate their qualitative difference from the Nash Equilibria, by showing that a random evolutionary game has on average exponentially less number of ESS than the number of Nash Equilibria in the underlying symmetric 2-person game with random payoffs.
متن کاملEvolutionary Stable Strategies In Networked Games: The Influence Of Topology
Evolutionary game theory is used to model the evolution of competing strategies in a population of players. Evolutionary stability of a strategy is a dynamic equilibrium, in which any competing mutated strategy would be wiped out from a population. If a strategy is weak evolutionarily stable, the competing strategy may manage to survive within the network. Understanding the network-related fact...
متن کاملEvolutionary Stable Strategies in Games with Fuzzy Payoffs
Evolutionarily stable strategy (ESS) is a key concept in evolutionary game theory. ESS provides an evolutionary stability criterion for biological, social and economical behaviors. In this paper, we develop a new approach to evaluate ESS in symmetric two player games with fuzzy payoffs. Particularly, every strategy is assigned a fuzzy membership that describes to what degree it is an ESS in pre...
متن کاملQuantum Evolutionary Stable Strategies
The extension of the concept of Evolutionary Stable Strategy (ESS) to quantum domain is investigated. For the pair-wise game of Prisoner's Dilemma played in a population it is shown that a two-parameter quantum strategy can invade a classical ESS. However in this game a quantum ESS cannot be invaded by another two parameter quantum strategy. Game theory has been successfully applied in mod-elin...
متن کاملEvolutionary Stable Strategies (ESS)
Game theory developed to study the strategic interaction among rational self regarding players (players seeking to maximize their own payoffs). However, by the early 1970’s the theory underwent a transformation and part of it morphed into evolutionary game theory, which allows to increase our understanding of dynamical systems, especially in biology and, more recently, in psychology and the soc...
